All garments delivered have been cleaned and are provided to the customer in a ready to wear state. We inspect each item before delivery with the utmost care, and should you receive goods that are in a damaged state, please contact The Borrowed Collective within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.

All orders are shipped with express (overnight) courier shipping. Our courier pickup is 3pm each day (Monday-Friday). Orders made after 3pm will be sent the next day. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number so that you can track the progress of your delivery.

To guarantee that your items get to you in time, we recommend allowing at least 3 business days (4 if rural) between the time you book and your event date. 

Please note, if your event is during the day, please ensure you book for the day before you event. If you are travelling, please book for the day before you leave to ensure you get your garment in time.

Upon delivery of the garment you will be provided with a prepaid, pre-addressed bag in order for you to arrange returning the garment on the day after your rental period ends. Please check the enclosed postcard with your order if you are unsure when your item needs to be returned. Please carefully pack your garment and drop off at your nearest Post Shop. Please ensure the return parcel is handed over the counter and NOT dropped into a street postbox. Postboxes are not cleared as often, and can result in delays in your garment getting back to us. This in turn can result in late fees being charged.



For orders made after 3pm Wednesday – for Friday or Saturday events, Saturday delivery MUST be selected at checkout. Saturday delivery is at your own risk, and we cannot guarantee items will arrive in time. If you are unsure whether your address qualifies for Saturday delivery, or if your address falls under a rural postcode (in which case you need to select rural delivery) – you can use the address checker here. Couriers do not run on Sunday, so if you have an event that falls on a Sunday, please book for Saturday so that we can ensure these get to you in time for your event.



For Aucklanders, we offer same day delivery. In the case of same day delivery to central addresses. Please select the next day on the calendar and then choose same day delivery at checkout. Orders must be made prior to 12pm to qualify. This service excludes rural/outer Auckland addresses. Once your order has been processed please get in touch with us to organise the best delivery time for you. Please note our same day courier doesn’t deliver to outer Auckland suburbs so if you’re unsure whether you qualify for the same day, please get in touch with us before placing your order.



If your item arrives and appears to be damaged upon delivery, you must let us know immediately. Any damaged items past 14 days will not be accepted.

We do not refund or exchange for jewellery unless they arrive faulty. As our jewellery is for costume wear, please avoid wearing it in the shower, swimming or spraying perfume anywhere near the item.
